Christian Women Condemn Nude Dancers

November 24, 2009 14:18, 935 views

Christian women in Lagos State have kicked against young girls dancing nude in clubs under the lustful eyes of men, saying such act is against the words of God.

Pastor Martha Ogundare, National President, Redemption Virtuous Sisters, an arm of the Christ Redemption Bible Church, lamented that the society is turning into something else with young girls dancing nude in clubs.

Speaking at a news conference on the 10th Convention of the Redemption Virtuous Sisters at the Christ Redemption Bible Church, Ketu, Lagos, Ogundare said when God created “us and man ate the forbidden fruit and became naked, it was God who clothed us.”

“Women going about naked is against the word of God. We frown at it. For us, showing our nakedness outside is bad. Those who dance nude outside are wayward,” she said.

Ogundare also decried the high rate of corruption in the nation, saying that those who are corrupt would never get to heaven because God frowns at it.

“Corruption is a disease that is eating the fabric of our nation and we frown at it. We teach our people in this church to desist from it. We also pass the message to our people in government to desist from it.

“Corruption brings retrogression to our nation. When we remove corruption, our country will move forward. Corruption will hinder us from going to heaven. Right from our homes, we have to do away with corruption,” she stated.

Ogundare added that the act of parents buying examination question papers for their children so that they could cheat and pass amounted to corruption.

She said the coming 10th Convention of the Redemption Virtuous Sisters would kick off on Wednesday and end on Sunday. The theme of the convention is Yes! You Can.

According to her, the conference would address critical issues that bother on the needs of women in all facets of their life, among others.

Physicians heal thyself first. Before addressing the corruption of the society, address the corruption in the church first. Is is right for church leaders to collect offerings and tithes in the name of GOD only to use it for themselves? Is this not corruption? If you cannot see this log in your eyes, it would be an exercise in futility trying to remove the spec in other people’s eyes.

If a Guy can become a Priest , what stop ladies not to dance naked in the clubs? As long as they can pay t their tax we should aloud them,to do their daily job. As long as dancing nakedness does not endanger the members of the public we should concentrated on others moral things.Politicians that embezzled billion like Bode George celebrating birth day inside prison ,the court never ask him to return all his loots nor confiscation of his stolen properties. Now we are talking of moralities. In Holland clubs generated millions of Euro yearly . In USA there is a clubs in Wall street the strips dancers made millions and the Gov realized millions from clubs taxation. In Nigeria it,s regarded as a taboo .Everybody can not be a Christian or Muslims. Fashola should stay out of this face your political job and let those who knows the value of life to enjoyed their selfs. All fingers are never equal.

this omoregieva sounds like a pervert. all those countries you mentioned, see what they are going thru. natural disasters, rotten society etc despite their wealth. nigeria is still enjoying the mercies of God and that is why we still have the peace we are enjoying today. lets keep it that way and improve upon it….not sliding back into darkness.

Massttermind, yes God created Adam and Eve beautiful and naked, there were ignorance of their nakedness, that is why God told them not to eat the forbidden fruit whenever they eat it their eyes will open, so when they ate it their eyes open that is when they notice that they were naked and become ashem and look for something to cover their nakeness. It was’nt the Symbol of covering their sin, pls read ur bible again.

Nude dancing is a big business that employs and pay taxes. The Fashola government should make sure that the dancers are protected under the law from illegal arrest and detention. The christians and muslims should lay off as there is a separation of church and state.

    wonders shall never end!

in this contemporary society many things are happening, this world is completely turning to another thing else even to above human comprehend, appearing nude among young girls is not new in the world even to the so called traditional dancers also dance half naked. the only way we Christians parents can stop this from our young girls is from trimming the tree from the root which is from the home where they come out.

Mothers take note of this, because 98.9% of this mistakes come from you.

First of all condemn all the corrupt people who fill your churches and pay your salaries, before you condemn these girls who are merely a sympton of the most sick society on this earth.

Favour, am not a Christian non Muslim talking about morality we should stop using religious become Nigeria belongs to all of us. As long as nude dancing does not endanger the lives of member of the public the Gov should aloud them to pay tax by given them protection. This would reduce raping, and other crimes in our society. The Gov should also assigned a regular doctors to check on them regularly. Prostitution is the oldest business dancing nakedness is never a new business . We should joined the moving train let the Gov legalized Red light and strips clubs.

I cannot understand why people are calling for the abolition of prostitution and nude dancing. If you stop them who will do their work, your daughters or mothers. Leave these girls alone.

Eric. omorogieva ,Deji Kaye, E.O, all of u are agent sent from the kingdom of darkness, there is no doubt that u all are not belong to the secret society, even the so call nude girls are from kingdom of darkness seeking for whom to devour,i pity those that fall into their traps. In the name of Jesus i rebuke u satan fall down and die. Jerry, about giving offering and paying of tithes, I refer u to the book of Malachi chapter 3 from verse 8 read down u will see what God talk about tithe and offering, so paying of tithes and offering is God command. Moreover whether Pastor use it or not is not ur business. God told us that anybody that works in His temple eat from the temple so don’t be jealous about it. Ur advise is, from now on try and pay ur tithes and receive God’s blessing, is for ur own good ok.

Frankly, it shows the level of moral decadence in this country. Its totally condemable and is a big reflection of what is happening in the society. I hear people blaming the girls. Is a major propotion of these our churches not filled with half-naked girls? I think it calls for sober reflection on our part and it entails families to look inward in grooming thier kids. Majority of people in this country are hypocrates, they do worst things in their backyard and always the first to condemn….May God help us.

It’s a free world. All the so called sisters that hide under the umbrella of religion. We all need you to shut up mind your businesses and F**k your husbands well. A well fed man won’t look to eat what he doesn’t own outside his house.

Men want fun(sometimes wild and crazy stuffs) read /learn and offer them to your husbands and I’m positive they won’t waste their hard earned money looking at nude dancers if their wife’s can also do the same. I had a tenant one time that had a problem with her husband because she read a text on his phone about the blow job he liked her giving to him. She didn’t know what it meant(like most of the other sisters reading now) She’s lucky she’s computer literate. Because she couldn’t discus it with no one; she googled it and voila!

Anyways, if you don’t do them well others would.
By the way, any single sisters in the house?

the problem is that Nigeria is copying both good and bad from America. If it cannot be stoped in america, is it Nigeria that can do it? Just look at our illustrous Terrorist/Suicide Bomber, Alh. Umar Mutallab, where did learn it if not America. Only that he had a very poor parental upbringing. Fashola can only tax them very high to discourage them, else they go secret and thrive dangerously… .Near my house for instance, some police come to collect personal tax, and sleep for free at will with very pretty girls who dint have any rights.is this the same police that will arrest their queens?

Leave nude dancers alone. If they have jobs, they won’t dance naked. Christian women stop chasing shadows. Tackle the corrupt and inept governments rather than hard working nude dancers. Schools are closed, hospitals gateway to death or even hell, incompetent and underfunded police, corrupt civil service and judiciary, moribund power and water corporation, incompetent and personal salary seeking national assembly, all roads gateway to death, churches and mosques centres of sin and extortion, traditional rulers supporters and engineers of corruption and evil vices. The list is endless. They did not sin. But it is sinful and even criminal to use church money or government money for yourselves. How many Nigerian churches engage in charity to help the poor to acquire education, create soup kitchens, create jobs and opportunity? Check yourselves. Please leave nude dancers alone. They are gainfully employed. Unless you have alternative, nude dancing is better than armed robbery. They don’t hurt anyone, just entertain. Lets fight for them. They are decent women who are better than any Nigerian leader at any level of governance or administration.

In time past, it was not so. However, these are the signs of the end of the world spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 24 and of the fact that we are in the perilous times spoken about by Apostle Paul (2Timothy 3:1-9). For those that are working contrary to the will of God, whether in the church or in the world, and those that are in their support, my counsel for you is to repent and be saved. Give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ today, harden not your heart as in the days of Noah, for the coming of the Lord is at hand and it will come as a thief in the night (2Peter 3:3-14). Even if He tarries in His coming, there are three solemn truths I want you to know from Hebrews 9:27 which says, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement” : The first is LIFE. We live once, just once! The second is DEATH. We die once! The third is JUDGEMENT. We are judged once! Therefore, how you live your only life will determine your judgement after death. You can control your life, but you cannot control death. You do not know when it will knock on your door, and once it knocks, you cannot stop it and you cannot run away from it. So, do away with your perversion and satanic way of life, in order not to end up in Hell, rather choose the way of Jesus Christ, for He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE (John 14:6), and earn for yourself everlasting life in Heaven, the abode of the righteous children of God.
