NBBF Secures $1m Sponsorship Deal

The Board of Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has secured a sponsorship package worth $1million.

This was disclosed to P.M.Sports by Muktar Khaleh, a member of the board, who said the sponsorship package which is for three years is one of the best things to happen to the game in the country.

Khaleh informed that the the National Sports Festival delayed the men’s basketball premier league, which was supposed to have dunked off in January.

He stated that the name of the sponsor will not be revealed for now because of the understanding between the federation and the company that wants to unveil the sponsorship package with a big media presentation.

In a related development, Khaleh stated that the board is yet to take a decision on which team to register for the forthcoming season at the Atlantic Conference.

He said that the committee set up by the federation to look into the matter headed by him has sent out invitations to interested teams for the slot, while the committee is waiting for the clubs to come out and defend their bid.
