January 28, 2010 15:02, 1,895 views

Former President Olusegun Obsanjo on Wednesday night arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport Ikeja from Libya.

Obasanjo arrived aboard a private Challenger aircraft with registration number 5A-UAA that touched down at about 8. 45 p.m.

Asked for his comment on the reactions that trailed his statement regarding the health of his successor, President Umaru Yar’Adua, the former president declined comment.

When pressed further, the former president gave the anxious newsmen a military salute and drove off.

It is high time our lleaders took a leaf from the western world by way of respecting the law that
brought them into power. Our ailing president, Umaru Yaradua swore to defend the constitution of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria and by his action of travelling out of the country for medical treatment without writing
formally to the National Assembly is tantamount to violation of section 145 of the constitution of Nigeria. It will
be more honourable for him to write the National Assembly so as to enable the vice president act on his
behalf, pending when he is fully recovered from the sickness. Any delay in doing this will be widening
the leadership vacuum that his action has already created.

Obasanjo is an elder stateman In respective of his shortcomings he should always be honour in Nigeria.
When he speaks oebeen silent people will be disturbing him…They should stop disturbing him but they should rather
look at their own private and public shortcomings too…

I am delighted at the comments above. This is the first I am reading a unanimous acceptance of OBJ. Despite his effort to give good lives to Ngerians, all he got after leaving office was bashing, insult and curses, but now Nigerians know better. The outcome of the infamous power probe, the sensless reversal of sale of the refineries, the non funding of the primary health care centres, termination of power sector reform and so on as so forth. Where is the power Yardua’s power emergency? The so called amensty in the niger delta is already falling apart. May be we need another northerner to show us that they not only love power but they know how to rule. May God be with us.

Haba what else do we nigerians expect of this elderstatesman? Journalists should stop looking for news, they should start generating news themseves. LET ONE OF THEM JUMP INTO THE LAGOON TO CREATE NEWS FOR OTHERS.

Haba. What else do we nigerians expect of this highly inteligent elder statesman? He said it all when it mattered most. He called a spade a spade. You journalists should stop looking for news at all possible cost at the expense of others. In fact you should start generating news from your end- LET ONE OF YOU JUMP INTO THE LAGOON TO CREATE NEWS FOR OTHERS TO WRITE ABOUT.

Baba is a crucial part of the nation and of course the government in power. You might not agree with me, he impacted more on the country socio-economic landscape than any other government. He assembled the best hands in business of governance and use this to change the fortune of the country. The excess crude reserve was accumulated by his govt; it’s now a major fall back reservoir in the country

He started independent power plant (IPP) , after two years of probe and counter probe we all have to go back to it.We have started to regret every reversal of decisions taken by his administration .

Baba made mistakes as human being but baba na father before father at anytime! I am missing his jokes—————-
