Life Of Lagosians Priceless — LASG

November 25, 2009 13:28, 88 views

In a recently aired documentary on the street lighting infrastructural development partnership between Lilleker Brothers Nig. Ltd and the Lagos State Government, Engineer Ganiyu Johnson, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure stated that as it is impossible to quantify the value of life of a Lagosian, the safety of pedestrians and motorists is a crucial priority guiding the massive deployment of international standard street lighting across the sprawling metropolis.

The timing of the production of the documentary coincided with the milestone of 900 days in office by the administration.

The street lighting infrastructure, he further stated, cannot be complete at this time without an independent power source thus ensuring well lit streets during the hours of darkness.

Some of the lighting schemes cited by Engr. Johnson which were designed and installed by Lilleker Brothers include the Oshodi Market Area, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Akin Adesola Street, VI, Kudirat Abiola Street, Ikeja, and the magnificent Marina Lighting Scheme which has the largest collection of functional high mast lighting in West Africa.
