The Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel on Physically Challenged Affairs, Mr. Yinka Ibidunni has laid credence to the fact that oath taking has become part of the political life in Ogun State.
Speaking with P.M.News on phone this morning, Mr. Ibidunni who is physically challenged by his blindness, said “oath taking is a daily affair in Ogun State and in the Nigerian polity generally”.
“People are made to swear to blood oath before they can be given opportunity to hold positions of authority. My brother, it is not new, it’s a daily occurrence for public and political office holders to swear to blood oath,” the Special Adviser who is still serving stated.
Asked whether he was also on oath, Mr. Ibidunni who claimed to be the son of Chief Ibidunni, the Olori Baba Alanjonu (Head of Traditional Spirits) of Egbaland, said he declined to swear to any oath because he is now a devout Christian.
On Wednesday, Mr. Yinka Ibidunni in a no-holds barred manner had on RockCity FM radio station, Abeokuta, Current Affairs programme titled “Daybreak Show” anchored by Niyi Ojemakinde, earlier confirmed his knowledge of oath taking in the state.
The Special Adviser who phoned-in to the programme around 9.45a.m. said: “I was aware of the oath taking process in Ogun State and I was told that if I did not go through the process, I am not a full politician.
“As a Christian, I declined and I said I am contented with whatever God has given me. I cannot go through such dirty process because of position, they rather hold the position,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of O’odua Youth for Good Governance and ex-aide of Governor Daniel, Mr. Lanre Aminu, has revealed why he parted ways with his erstwhile boss.
Aminu, who was a member of OGD Committee for Strategy and Planning for the 2007 election, told P.M.News that he left Daniel when he discovered that he is a dictatorial and overbearing person. Aminu said he was introduced to Daniel by Chief Ebenezer Babatope after he had written a petition against Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the Osun State Governor. “In 2003, I wrote a petition to the then President Olusegun Obasanjo about the maladministration of Oyinlola. In that letter, I advised Oyinlola to imitate the good example of Governor Daniel in Ogun State. Chief Babatunde told me that he appreciated the commendation I gave Daniel in the petition I wrote. Hence, he recruited me for the OGD Committee,” he said.
Aminu said he later discovered that Daniel was high-handed. The first time I was in his office, while he was lying on the couch, I saw commissioners kneeling down to talk to him.”
He also said Daniel had the ambition to be the leader of the Yoruba race, accusing him of recruiting youths in the state to cause trouble.
“He does not have the fear of God. He used members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the state to cause trouble. These people are lawless. He even turned a missionary school that had been founded for over 30 years into a park in order to reward the union thugs.”
Berating Oyinlola for his ineptitude, Aminu said: “The only legacy Oyinlola has left is profligacy and ineptitude. Oyinlola has turned governance into an exercise to gratify the flesh. Hedonistic culture is what is thriving in Osun State. The major achievement of Oyinlola is the bogus roads he has constructed. “These are soulless politicians. These are politicians that thrive on propaganda. These are politicians that have no business with governance,” Aminu said of Daniel and Oyinlola.
He added that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governors in the South-West are a threat to democracy.
“I have found out that PDP does not mean well for the people. The PDP governors in the South-West are a threat to democracy.” Aminu said that his non-government organisation (NGO) is being used to arouse the consciousness of youths on the need to resist bad leadership.”
“When youths lose confidence in the state, they resort to self-help,” he stated.

It reminds me of Samurai story in ancient japan when the big Samurai (Balogun) is eating the messengers have to kneel down picking their teeth as if thy’ve just finshed whereas they haven’t eaten anything in four days. This happened over 300 years ago in Japan. If this what daniel wants for Ogun State just for stealing money, then the country is in trouble. I would advise Daniel to step down because within a week, a lot is going on . In acivilised society, once such thing is mentioned off, the next thing is to step down. Politics in Nigeria is do or die. Why, because of our love for money. Nigerians are suferring and Gbenga is busy bankrupting the State WHY GBENGA????????. It is true that you used to be a 419 person. 3 July 2009 17:57Daniel is a disappointment. I have always asked the kind of smile on his face. If you look at him closely you will see that his smiles are not clear. He squeezes his face. It is not really smiling but people think he smiles a lot. I used to like him b4 and I had thought
that his problem is coming from Ota axis but who knows. The oath thing is not restricted to Ogun. I am sure it the phenomenon in Nigerian politics. God will save us as a nation.

3 July 2009 17:58I like the way Ibikunle was described as a physically challenged through his blindness. Though physically blind, Ibikunle sees clearly through his spiritual eyes. The likes of Daniel who thinks he appointed Ibikunle into that position because of his physical blindness is the one that is really blind. Yes Daniel is blind while Ibikunle is not blind. Any man who believes and partakes in blood oath taking with the salvation of Jesus at his disposal is still a blind man.

Ask Daniel what happened to one of the driver’s who caught him where he was drinking the blood of a new born baby? The man is late now but was able to tell his wife what he saw before his death.

He took an oath to always try his best to silence Gov Daniel’s enemies. He dear not go against Daniel. Daniel has file for all his eveil acts in the state. Daniel will definately use it against him if he Olopade dear to go disobey Daniel.
Bukola Olopade commited crime in UK before coming to Ogun State. He is the Head of all the cult groups in Ogun State. He has salary for the cult boys. He contested against Dimeji Bankole to be an Honourable memeber of House of Rep and lost at primary level in 2003. His wife in UK divorced him becuse of his high level of criminal acts. Bukola is now married to another woman in Nigeria. The short man deveil commisioner is always fond of slapping sport reporters and asking his thugs to beat them up. His case of slapping a sport journalist was once published on saharareporter. He was the one that went to attack the formal commission of Agric in the state Waliu Taiwo, who was sent packing by Daniel for having the courage to say tell Daniel the truth.

3 July 2009 20:51The issue is that we now have ‘irunmale’ (deity) politicians who use their association highly placed pastors and islamic clerics to shadow their evils. My advice is that people should stop giving regards to all these politicians. Please, don’t accept money from them to avoid afflictions as you don’t know what they would have done to get to that position in first place. They could have buried live human beings. 6 July 2009 12:24I am not surprised that one of the truth about Gbenga Daniels diabolic devillish acts was revealed. Its something that has been going on for a very long time. Even Obansanjo is known for this. My cousin who lives in Ogun state now just close to Ota farm is now into rituals because of powers. He is now a chief looking for bloods all around. Its a common thing in Nigeria which we, the common people accepted. Why? because even for the fact that we know that these evil people are up to no good, we still allow them to hold important offices after they must have given us their blood soaked money to help them rig elections.
Now, who is suffering? Gbenga Daniels or the common people? Nigerians have to wake up. The power belong to us the common people and we have to stand up and say no to the Devil.
Gbenga Daniels and the rest evil governors must go. Even the president should be kicked out. What has he really done? Has he also not sworn to a blood allegiance administered by the evil genius Obusanjo.
