The Ilorin Court of Appeal ruling that sent Mr. Femi Kila packing from the Senate was a testimony that the PDP did not win any election in Ekiti State, says Yemi Adaramodu, Director of Communications, Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation.
The court had nullified two of the three senatorial seats purportedly won by the PDP candidates, having earlier declared Mr. Ayo Arise’s seat vacant. He said Senator Bode Ola actually won the Ekiti Central Senatorial District election in 2007, but the Siamese twins of INEC and PDP subjugated the people’s will and gave Mr. Kila a stolen stool.
“We are delighted at the ruling of the Ilorin appellate court which returned the stolen electoral stool to the owner. This historic declaration is a convincing pointer that reinforces our conviction that the judiciary would clear Nigeria’s electoral Aegean stable, without fear or favour,” Adaramodu said.
Continuing, he declared, “Mr. Femi Kila, like his interloper colleagues in the PDP has held Ekiti by the jugular. He had bloated his political frame with brigandage while he was caught in the sordid act during the last rerun election with armed thugs and dangerous weapons.
“Political and electoral nemesis had just begun to catch up with those who had turned electoral democracy to anguish in Ekiti. It shall not be long that the PDP would kiss the canvass finally when its illicit gubernatorial regime is dismantled by the judiciary.
“The latest ruling, we believe, would have rattled the spines of Ayo Arise who is still lurking around in Abuja with a stolen senatorial mandate. He surely would soon have his own day with justice.
“The Bwala Tribunal largesse which elongated the reign of the PDP locusts in Ekiti is about to terminate and our apprehension at the rulings then had been turned into appreciation by the judiciary which has become the saviour of the people’s will and sovereignty.
“We believe Senator Bode Ola would offer a quality representation of the people so that they could feel leaders exist to pursue popular and selfless agenda, rather than the PDP’s hollow leadership that run guns and keep thugs with their constituency allowances.”
Adaramodu added: “With the exit of Mr. Kila from the Senate, Mr. Oni had lost one of his insipid lieutenants who engaged the will of the people to obtain a false declaration in his favour at the recent rerun election.
“Kila’s ignominious exit is a soothing relief to his kinsmen in Efon Alaaye which he had seized with his army of roughnecks who operate above the law, maiming his perceived opponents including his PDP members with impunity.
“Since the Senatorial torch he usually flashed at the security agents had been taken off him, we insist that he should be held to account for his sins against public order and the nation’s laws with his retinue of thugs that must be apprehended else, would be unleashed on the state to compound the present security challenges.
“We hail the judiciary for this latest exorcist exercise which pulls out of our polity, the political trouble shooters of Israel in Ekiti and we urge the judiciary not to relent in her efforts to fumigate our electoral democracy with more popular declarations against the PDP notorious political pests.”

3 July 2009 16:58It was not the fault of some people in the PDP perse when it was formed in 1998, it was the fault of some military persons in politics who forcefully make sure that Obasanjo who was a military dictator, was there eventhough Falae defeated him. When Nigerian cliques enforced military dictator, the result must be catastrophe, that was what is happening now and until God helps us in 2011 to clear PDP away. Although Nigerians are worshipping money rather than God, since PDP is in power Nigeria will never settle for good, it is not a curse but the people running the affairs of Nigeria state will not allow Nigerians to enjoy peace of democracy. I have never seen anybody who had got opportunity to be in foreign country to make effort to return to Nigeria where there is no security, no job, no food, no electricity, other than rigging, bringandage attitude, corruption and what have you. Ten years of PDP in power is a total waste. May God helps.

5 July 2009 16:52Is this a news or a sponsored propaganda?. Why is PM News only reporting the comments of an AC man. Why not balance the report with a comment from someone in PDP.
Some people believe the owner of PM News is an AC person, I am begining to believe same also.

17 July 2009 11:08If it is true that knowledge is power, then Nigerians stil need to be educated not to exchange their democratic power at the ballot box
for PDP BRIBERY money that will not last .
We all know that PDP is military in democratic (AGBADA )UNIFORM and in control of our resources we should be mindful of what they stand for ,as lion in sheep clothing ie devil”s devices. AC is the only promising party with human heart with promising Manifesto
that could take our nation to the promised height it deserves for the required change needed,
