African Ministers Meet On Yamoussoukro Accord

African Ministers of Aviation and Transportation recently met in Accra, Ghana, for the fifth council meeting on the implementation of the Yamoussoukro accord on liberalisation of air transport.

The committee has oversight responsibility for the implementation of the decision to liberalise air transport in West and Central Africa.

The ministers were to consider the rules of proceedings for the harmonisation of air transportation in the region and renew the mandate of the executive bureau of the coordination and monitoring committee of the region, as well as evaluate the implementation status of the Yamoussoukro accord in member countries.
