Yar’Adua Removes Kingibe

September 08, 2008 18:12, 2,126 views

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ambassador Babagana Kingibe, has been relieved of his job, this afternoon.

He is replaced with Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, former Defence minister. Before Kingibe’s sack, rumours were rife that he was scheming to replace his boss, president Umar Yar’Adua, on the premise that the latter may be weighed down by his consistent ailment.

Though Kingibe recently quelled the rumour, he hinted then that he would indeed have been fired by Yar’Adua, but for his loyalty to the president. However, that loyalty appears to have sunk, as the suave politician has eventually been laid off.

This is a government of hiring and firing and rumours of hiring and firing.
For the past 13 months this government has been peddling rumours on who will be fired and hired. The national assembly is also busy with their own rumour on who to probe and not to probe. For Gods’ sake, when will they think of nigeria and the nigerian masses who are been punished as if to say they committed a big offence by being nigerians.

President Umaru Musa Yar’dua is the person who should resign as president for non-performance and being inept and unviable as well as incompetency not Amb.Babagana Kingibe who was the piiar of his inept and worst regime.Umaru Musa Yar’dua must go or else he and his wife as well as PDP governor like Kwara Bukola Saraki would be visited with heavy repercussion by the Almighty God.Because,Yar’dua is blocking the progress of the nation and so long Yar’dua remains as president nigerians will continue to languish in complete abject poverty for as long as it takes him to go.Yar’dua is not ideal or good for Nigeria.Very deceptive and corrupt fellow who recieved knowingly a stolen mandate to the presidency. President Umaru Musa Yar’dua is the one who should resign having disapointed Nigerians with his do nothing regime not Amb Babagana Kingibe who was the most experienced fellow that was using his knowledge to ran his illegal regime.Yar’dua loves power more than his life hence,he accepted stolen mandate from Obasanjo so as to prevent Atiku Abubakar from becoming the president. If it was Atiku that was installed into Aso Rock-presidency,Nigerians and the nation would have moved forward by now not stall.Yar’dua is very inept, sluggish, unviable, incompetent and should resign now in order not to allow the sword of judgement of God to befall his life having hold Nigeria hostage for over one year without any meaningful achievements to show for it except running always to Germany and Saudi Arabia for medical attention. He must go now.Enough is enough! Dr Pat Kolawole Boboye,Canada.

I woner why anybody will have anything to do with Kingibe to start with. He an never be trusted.Any one who can sell the peoples mandate like e did @ june 12 should not be giving such a position of trust. He has always been a desperate person.W ho knows he m igth even poison the already near death Obasonjo,s Umoru.

Once a traitor always a traitor, Kingibe is used to biting fingers that feed him, AS HE DID TO ABIOLA SO HE WILL ALWAYS DO TO ALL HIS BENEFACTORS NOW AND FOREVER.

  19. Omo-Ohain, Humphrey, Lagos, Nigeria

    8 September 2008 19:45

Why appoint Amb. Kingibe in the first instance. Once a traitor always a traitor. Kingibe will never find rest until he atones for his sins against M.K.O.Abiola. This is a man who once said King I be Insha Allah while pretending to be loyal to M.K.O. Abiola. A crook to the core. But wait a minute why do we recycle politicians. So there is no Northerner who is less than 45years of age with high intelligence to occupy such exalted position? What legacy did Yayale leave behind in Defence, if not long queues of retired soldier who sometimes die waiting to be paid for serving their fatherland. To me there is no difference between ten and ten pence.

    8 September 2008 19:50

Even if Kingibe is sacrificed, the coup will still go on. It has taken them a long time to undermine Yar’ Adua as he had unknowingly empowered them, and now it is too late to stop them when .
Till the end of the year, new tnings will continue to happen.
    God will not be decieved.

The only thing I know about Mr Kingibe is that, he is an astute and articulate administrator. I cannot however vouch for his loyalty to any leadership, judging from the way he left MKO in the lurch after the ill-fated 12 June crises! He was VP candidate to MKO, but failed to stand by the late business-man-turned-politician! We heard that Kingibe allegedly ran with the hare and hunted with the hounds then on MKO issue! President Yar’Adua might have seen the handwriting on the wall before he took that decision.

    Kingibe should accept his fate.

This is the first tangible exercise Umoru has performed since he assumed stolen presidency. Umoru, before u finally go to Katsina to rest, kindly help us jail OBJ because he caused this embarrassment for u, ur family and the Nigerian masses as a whole. U were quietly sitting down in Katsina with ur kigney problem when St. Matthew Obasanjo came to persuade u to become an election robber. To redeem ur image and to have mercies from God to heal u and forgive all your sins, God ask me to tell you to jail OBJ for his sins against the masses of our people.

Of what Good is Kingibe to the entire nation that such a big deal is now attached to his removal? It is quite obvious that such a man will do all possible scheming to attain the position that he sold for a pot of porridge to Gen. Abacha, in 1993/94.

Those close to him should rekindle his memory right to the days of Cabinet Office in the 70s. It’s now time for him to return home to his farm and start enjoying his portion of the national cake.

He made a mess of the entire project-health just name it. The Niger Delta crisis is his creation-he it was who urged the purchase of arms-those who sold Abiola out are the same ppl working to unseat Goodluck Jonathan who is also another big wahala for the ND. You announce the names of a body for the ND while your boss is abroad-looking doctors who could not cure abiola and alams-no condition is permanent-you hear ribadu your 419 antics will not work resign and go farm-for disgracing yaradua son with your pictures of his son-with kingibes help.

This is no doubt a demonstration of assertiveness and control by the president. However, he needs to take further steps such as giving the Attorney General & Minster of Justice, Mr. Andokaa, the boot. Lastly let him sack the sluggish and only Mr. Go Slow in Nigeria history, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua.

All those saying that Yardua should resign do not have any idea at all.If he resigns will it solve our problem? For 8 years that he looted Nigeria and abused Nigerians did these Nigerians calling on Yardua to resign tell Obasanjo to resign? No they could not utter a single word.Obasanjo is the cause of Nigeria’s problem.Let us advice Yardua on how best to move Nigeria forward. At least unlike Obasanjo he listens and does not abuse us and strut around like some sort of demi god-like Obasanjo.
Kingibe is gone,it was long overdue. When will others like him be shown the way out because more roaches like him are crawling all over aso rock

With recycled leaders all over the place with the majority of them like Kinghibe, the aclaimed betrayer of June 12, we should remain calm and watch the way God will set all these prople against themselves until they are all eliminated from the political scene. Lets pray for the nation that they don’t truncate this democracy in in a prematured struggle for 2011.

We believe Our prayer will hold the presiedncy to avoid and upheaval in the states of the nation , Kingibe is a wrong choice he probably came in because of previous trust but he has forgoten that the gentleman once aspired to be in his office before and you can never get out a nortured ambition from people who believes in power at all cost even if it means depleting the foreign reserves. President Yaradua is completely different from the real Northern elite who belives in many comcubines and cant see the difference between the Govt assets and personal ones .
He is different and that is why they want him to die , check the news its his clan men that want him to resign and possibly be in a casket soon but God willing he will make it .
My advice is that he should trust his subservient Vice to help him carry the work load ,it makes no difference but this is different from the northern elite style who do not believe in oneness of Nigeria but ruling by division and thats why the North Cant move because as they try to pull down the south to move ahead God endowment and necessity keep taking them forward , [he who digs a pit ends in it ]
Very good tactical decision to remove kingibe he should now go back and be a village clan in his state .He had plotted the fall of others now he can eat the same cake . I wish him very well
Let it be known to you that Yaradua will not die but live The way out is for him to trust his deputy and shed the work load with that he can even carry the entire 8 years . Stay on sir , Wishing you good and succssful presidency .
I WISH HIM GOOD RECOVERY gOOD WILL TO YOU MT PRESIDENT GOD THAT BROUGHT YOU ON WILL KEEP YOU .PLEASE SHED THE LOAD AND TRUST YOUR DEPUTY AND YOU CAN HAVE EASY AND EXCELLENT RUN IN THE PRESIDENCY . YOU BLOOD PRESSURE WILL REMAINE CONTROLLABLE AND THE RENAL FUNCTION WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH
