Despite the fact that the primaries of the Action Congress in Lagos State did not hold in Oriade local government area, on Saturday, 6 September, as scheduled in the local government, youths of the local government have continued to insist on Buraimoh Mustapha Ojora as their chairmanship candidate.

According to Tajudeen Olaiya, a youth leader, Ojora is the quintessential chairman. “This man is fully on ground. If you cover the length and breadth of this area, you will find that his name is on every lip. “In fact, we already see him as our chairman,” Olaiya said.

Like Olaiya, many of the residents of Oriade have concluded that it is either Ojora or nobody else. Yet, the youths decried the situation where the primaries did not take place.

“We had come out en masse to vote for Ojora, our true representative, but were disappointed because the primaries did not hold after all,” Olaiya complained. Ojora reckoned that he was quite disappointed that the primaries did not eventually take place. “After waiting from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m., we concluded that there was no primaries,” he said.
