Five officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) Brigade, have been sacked for stealing some of the items confiscated by the outfit.

The sacked officials were identified as Gbogbaade Abayomi, Ofoneme Udoh, Bola Alabi, Sarafa Adeyemo and Nurudeen Oshinshin.

P.M.News gathered that the sacked officials were caught red-handed by men of the task force on special offences on 3 September, 2008, with some of the items seized during an operation at Ojota area of Lagos.

In a statement signed by Mr. Tunji Dawodu, Special Adviser (Legal) to the Commissioner for the Environment, the ministry reiterated its efforts  to wage war against all forms of vices. He warned that anyone caught would be made to face the full wraths of the law.

“It is pertinent to reiterate the resolve of the present administration to continually wage war against all form of vices. Please, note that no effort would be spared in this crusade and anyone caught would be made to face the full wrath of the law,” he said in a statement.

P.M.News learnt that the Commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Muiz Banire, has directed that all KAI zonal and sectoral commanders would henceforth be penalized for any act of the subordinates. Similarly, it was gathered that the matter had been referred to the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice and prosecution of the sacked officials.

This is the height of it, I hope that the officials would be dealt with properly so as to serve as an exmple to others.
Also, they should be given some jail terms for theft.
