A Lagos-based top seer, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo, has warned that the much expected local government elections in October may not hold.
Speaking with P.T. on the political situation in the state, the renowned cleric said “If care is not taken, election may not take place in October due to litigations by opposing parties in the state.
“I forsee the Lagos L.G. polls extending to 2009, but it will definitely hold and the Action Congress will have a landslide victory at the polls. The party should however be careful in Badagry and Agbowa-Ikosi local government areas”.
Primate Ayodele stated further that the A.C. primaries would not work because what he saw being done spiritually, was selection of candidates and not election. He said this would lead to political wranglings in Mushin, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Agbowa-Ikosi, Alimosho, Ikeja,Ifako-Ijaiye and Oshodi local governments among others.
Says the prophet who predicted the emergence of Babatunde Fashola as governor and the impeachment of some governors in the last dispensation,”the selection in Lagos will lead to mass corruption, and some of those who will become chairmen will be arrested by EFCC.
“You will see a situation where several leaders of the local government houses (councillors), gang-up against their chairmen and possibly impeach them. I see it to be more prominent in Surulere, Oshodi, Lagos Island West, Ikeja, Lagos Mainland and a few others.
“There will be tremendous development in the local governments system in Lagos during this Fashola administration, but corruption is going to be massive”, Primate Ayodele who is also the president of INRI widows foundation now making rave in Abuja, warned.
