Hired Assassins Spare Man Of God

The  General Overseer of Light Of The World International Evangelical Ministries (LOWIEW), narrowly escaped being killed by hired assassins who stormed his residence.

Pastor Sunday Ogunde, was in his bedroom alongside his wife when the assassins came in through the window of the bathroom. Immediately they got inside, they hurriedly moved into the children’s bedroom,  and woke them up with serious beating and kicking.

Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the two assassins, Pastor Ogunde revealed; “I thank God Almighty for his mercies on me and my entire family. On Wednesday last week, I was expected to be at the church branch at Abule-Iroko, but I chose to remain at the headquarters at 18, Ibukun Omosehin Street, Alimosho.

“In a twinkle of an eye, these men from nowhere just entered my bedroom and they said they were on a mission to get rid of me. We were told to lie face down. Earlier, they had entered my children’s bedroom and wounded the eldest child when she refused to tell them my whereabouts.

“Around 12 mid-night on that day, the church members told me that two men stopped them with torchlights asking for my whereabouts. It was after they didn’t see me that they trailed me to the church.

“One of them wore a mask and he was fat. They pointed guns into our ears then stood there for close to two hours thinking of what to do with us. I know too well it was God’s intervention otherwise they would have killed us. They even said in Yoruba: Ore ti o nse yen lo gbe o, meaning It’s the good deeds that you are doing that saved you.

“They later said that they must not go away without achieving anything, so they took our phones, DVD, Television, Phillips Flat TV, perfumes and some amount of money.”

The incident was later reported at the Gowon Police Station. They also went away with the C of O of a pilot called Mr. Dehinbo, kept with the pastor.
