Prepaid customers of Celtel Nigeria can now conveniently use their phones in several countries of the world including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirate, United Kingdom, Belgium and Sri Lanka, among others.

According to a statement signed by the mobile operator, the prepaid roaming is the outcome of agreement signed by the company with other telecommunication operators in various countries of the world.

Chief Marketing Officer, Celtel Nigeria, Norman Moyo, said “with the introduction of prepaid roaming, our customers don’t need to change their SIM card or purchase another line when they travel to major locations of the world.

“Our customers can now make and receive calls as well as send SMS even when they are several kilometres away from home,” he stated.

Prepaid customers, he said, are expected to recharge or top up their lines before travelling to any of the designated countries as well as use their time the way they choose once the roaming service has been activated.
