July 24, 2008 14:54, 29 views

Few weeks after the release of his single effort, Siwaju, Etim Monday, otherwise known as Prime, has been one of the most sought after upcoming music act on Nigerian institutions of higher learning.

Since the release of the song which is currently enjoying airplay on radio stations, Prime has been the toast of many show organisers, especially on campuses.

According to the elated Prime, “I’m happy about the development. It is a clear indication that I have a future in this industry, and there is no going back.”

The Akwa-Ibom state-born Afro hip-hop/R&B act, whose role models are Tuface Idibia and Blackface, said his album will hit the shelves soon.

Speaking on the title of his hit single, Siwaju, the light-skinned singer said “it is my own way of telling the youth to be very optimistic in whatever they are doing.”

Prime, who now believes the sky is his starting point, has performed alongside the duo of Paul and Peter Okoye (Psquare) in Kaduna as well as other notable artistes.
