Man Docked For Fraud

A 26-year-old man, Mr. Fisayo Awodele, has appeared before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly committing fraud. He was alleged to have committed the offence on 10 May,  at Osho Street, Oshodi, Lagos.

The prosecutor, Sergeant C. Takim, alleged in the charge sheet that the accused stole N90,000 belonging to Mr. Ibrahim Kashetu, who resides at 59, Adeyemi Street, Oshodi.

Sergeant Takim also alleged that Awodele obtained N60,000 fraudulently from a businesswoman, Chioma Enyandu; an offence punishable under Sections 390 and 419 of the Criminal Code, Cap.C.17, Vol. II, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail by Magistrate A. O. Komolafe in the sum of N10,000 with one surety. The case has been adjourned for further hearing.
