‘After Robbery, We Relax In London, Canada’

July 10, 2008 15:08, 786 views

By Oluwole Adeboye/Ejiro Ejekukor

A member of a six-man gang of bandits who snatch exotic cars has disclosed how they steal vehicles, sell them and afterwards travel abroad to relax in London, Canada or Germany.
PMNews Crime  checks revealed that policemen attached to Meiran Divisional Headquarters (Anti-Robbery Section) were on a patrol within the area when the Divisional Police Officer, Superintendent Festus Otabor, who had earlier received a distress call on the activities of the robbers, called the leader of the anti-robbery team to accost them at Meiran junction.

On sighting the police on their way to Iyana-Ipaja, the armed robbers opened fire and the policemen responded. The police were later informed by the owner of one of the snatched cars that one of the robbers was hit in the head during the exchange of gun fire.

The policemen immediately traced them to Dopemu where they saw one of the cars (Audi) abandoned. Beside the car was one of the robbers, groaning in pains as a bullet had hit him on the side of the head.

The robber was identified as Segun Adewale, although he had initially lied to the police that he was not a robber and that his Gulf car had also been snatched. On further interrogation, he opened up to police detectives at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja.

“I am one of the robbers, we come from Badagry. We had snatched eight cars on the day of my arrest and because we didn’t want the police to get us cheaply, we sprayed them with bullets but I was not so lucky, while my other colleagues escaped.

“We often go to relax in London, Canada and Germany for a week after a successful operation and later return to Nigeria. We sell these cars to a popular car dealer in Cotonou.”

Just hear that “we just relaxed in London”. London they mentioned has now turned the mecca for every Tom Dick and Harry.
The love of dosh(money) has simply overtaken everyone including the white people who now invite just anybody into their countries without vettings. Geniune visitros will be hounded and intimidated, while armed robbers will be laughing their way into the plane en-route their destination.
Anyway as matter stands who do we blame?- robbers, victims or the government

all nigeria leaders, people in power, that call themself ministers, senator commisioner, etc are all arm robbers, stealing the money that suppose to circulate round the citizen,so dont blame those boys because all the money stole by ex-governors and others what is the outcome of there arrest by EFCC. Nothing ,they just entertain us just like OPUTA PANEL.

Forget about the money our leaders stole, it is done unknown to many of us except it comes out in the open or through the pages of newspapers. BUT if these devil called ARMED ROBBERS visit you, you will be telling the story with an uncontrollable tears to people. imagine, an armed robber telling the police that after a successful operation they normally go to London to relax, after causing untold hardship to families. God will continue to punish them one by one. Police kill them as you pick them in the act, don’t compromise otherwise, you will pay for it
