Life cannot be worse for pupils of Olusanya Primary School, Agege, who are studying inside dilapidated classrooms. This is common feature in some public schools in the state. PHOTOS: AKIN FARINTO.
My determine Governor,
Is high time Ministry of Education have a commissioner because the position of Deputy Governor/Commissioner for Education is too much for the the Deputy Governor Her Excellency Madam Serah Sosan.
Depending on who is doing the fund raising the “high and mighty” in society will flock there in numbers and try to out play themselves.
Typical example: a former president who for his love of books raised 6 billion Naira in a single day, now tell me why are our poeple blind to the obvious.
It is not that they do not know where to sow good seed, but “o boy the thing no go pay me”
Scenes like this saddens my heart and i hope the government realize that this is one of her numerous priorities, instead of given the known Yinka Craig 15 million naira which individuals can raise. the Priority of the government such be faceless kids like the ones in our public schools who are not known and do not have such opportunities as Mr Craig!…Nothing personal, Just Thinking!!
Who is to brame for this? Is it the school authority or the government? I dont think the Governor is to blame for this. He cannot see or know what is happening everywhere. How on earth will he know what is happening in this school for instance? the Principal or the Vice Principal of this school should be held responsible for this, why couldnt he/she report to the Ministry of education the deteriorated condition of his/her school? People should stop attacking the government for any bad deed of the society! My able Governor, pls send your people to this school to verify the true position of the story, may be the school’s condition is even worse than what we imagine.
