A 47-year-old pastor, John Ugoh, of Love and Faith Bible Ministry, Marwa Waterside, Ijegun-Egbe, Lagos, is now cooling his heels inside a cell at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for allegedly engaging in homosexual activities and collecting the sperm of teenage church members.

He was arrested on Saturday, 19 April, 2008 by policemen from Satellite Town police post and transferred to Agboju Police Station on Monday, 21 April. He was eventually transferred to the SCID, Panti, Yaba for thorough investigation last Friday.

Sources told P.M.News that most of the victims of the pastor are teenage secondary school boys in the church, between the ages of 15 and 19.

Six of the victims who spoke with P.M.News said until he was arrested last week, Pastor John had engaged in homosexual activities with them and collected their sperm on several occasions and warned them not to tell their parents about it.

According to Solomon Ajabor, 18, one of the victims, “On 13 April, Pastor John invited me to his bedroom to watch homosexual and lesbian films. About 15 minutes later, he forced me to do what we had watched in the films.

“Suddenly he grabbed me, pulled off my trousers and started sucking my penis. I could not shout because he said he would kill me. He said I should consider myself dead if ever I disclosed what happened to my parents.”

The second victim, Uche Onuorah, 14 narrated thus: “On 14 June last year, the pastor called me on the public address system to report to his house for assistance. When I got there, he begged me to cook rice that would be sufficient for both of us. About five minutes later, I noticed that he blew a white powdery substance towards my face and I slept off. When I woke up, I discovered that the pastor had sucked my penis and used a white handkerchief to collect my sperm. I could not tell my parents because he said I would die if I did.”

Both Sunday Ighozurike, 15 and Alloy Oche, 15 also fell victim. Sunday recalls: “In September last year at about 8 p.m., the pastor invited me to his room and demanded to know whether I was still a virgin. I could not understand what he meant. Before I knew what was happening, he started fondling me and eventually sucked my penis.”

He also sucked Alloy’s penis after giving him N200 to buy bread for lunch.

Alloy recalls: “He bluntly raped me and threatened to kill me if I did not cooperate. He also said I should consider myself dead if I told my parents.”

Pastor John’s sexual relationship with young boys was blown open last week after he engaged in homosexual activity with 15-year old Aduaye Chukwuka and the boy fainted.

“After he had sucked my penis, I fainted and I started saying strange things. This attracted the attention of my mother and I later narrated everything to my mother when she said we should go to the pastor for prayers,” Aduaye told P.M.News.

When P.M.News visited the pastor’s house at 6, Razak Oladega street, Ijegun last Saturday, the house was deserted.

At Agboju Police Station where he was briefly detained, the Divisional Police Officer, who simply gave his name as Ahmed, confirmed the pastor’s arrest and said “we have transferred the matter to the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti, Yaba, for detailed investigation. I cannot imagine such a bestial practice from a man that claimed to be a man of God.”

At the Homicide section, code-named D4, SCID, Panti, a senior detective who craved anonymity, confirmed the arrest of Pastor Ugoh who was brought in over a homosexual-related case.

He, however, declined further comments.

Pastor Ugoh hails from Mbaise, Imo State. He is married to Mrs. Gloria Ugoh and they have two children, Chidere and Chidinma.

The News/Astro Jewoola, this is clear evidence of your lack of credibility. You featured this same story last year. You are supposed to be arbiters of the truth. This is quite SHAMEFUL! COVER YOUR FACE, IDIOT!

The News, this is poor journalism on your part. You should learn to respect privacy laws and data protection act, with regards to victims and loved ones of accused persons. You crave for justice, but you are involved in miscarriage of justice….Its very Unfortunate that you mentioned the Victim (boys) names…also unfortunate that you mentioned the accused’s wife and Children.

I hardly believe you know the consequnce of your action.

Thank God you live in a lawless society, where Human right is violated and the Citizenry are not aware of their constitutional and God given rights…Cos this would have been the end of THE NEWS!!! DEFAMATION!!!

Well, this is not new to what has been happening in the past most expecially in this country.
All I will say is that people should be very careful with some of these so-called pastors. Some of them are lion looking for who to devour.

Well, am not surprise because if we look at the rate at which churches and ‘men of God’ is springing up every nooks and crannies in this country, One don’t need a sayer to tell you that most of them are devil incarnation. May God deliver us all.
I will advice the socall miracle seekers too, they should know that no man can bring socour to them except God by going on their kneel and pray to God directly rather than going to the pretender calling themselve pastors. they are abound everywhere just beware!

Wonders are beginning to happen in Nigeria… Homosexual Pastor!!! Well it is not a surprise. When there prolifiration of churches in every nukes and cranny in Nigeria, what is expected? They either make people to part with their hard earn monies in the name of offerings and then engage in all manners of activities alien to the Nigerian culture and way of life while preaching against other religion especially African. Nigeria is turning to something else.

We cannot blame any one for our gullibility, the Bible and the Holy Spirit is there for all truly discerning Christians to find the truth, but we get too lazy. Nevertheless, light shall reveal all darkness.

the parents should get a good lawyer to sue the pastor for civil damages, trauma, etc rather than leave our inefficient police system to prosecute the man criminally, which may take for ever.

This one is in the net. I bet there are millions of other victims out there both male and females molested by men of God.women of God, respected members in the churches. They are business centres these days that take tax free money and con people into giving and there is no regulatory body to even check them or control their proliferation. WHAT A SHAME
